Rajouri, Jan 22: The body of a 45-year-old man, identified as Abdul Rehman of Fatehpur Danna, was found under suspicious circumstances near Dannidhar Fort in Rajouri on Thursday, prompting a police investigation.
According to reports, local residents spotted a man lying unconscious near Dannidhar Fort on Thursday morning and upon approaching him, they found that he had died.
The police were immediately informed, following which a police team rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation.
A police officer said that prima facie the case appears to be suspicious and the body has been taken into custody after completing the required legal formalities and sent to the hospital for post-mortem examination and other medico-legal procedures.
