Sopore, Dec 15: The Zaingair Sports Association on Monday felicitated meritorious sportspersons from the Zaingair region of Sopore at an award ceremony, recognising youth who have excelled in various sports at local, district, national and international levels and reaffirming the community’s commitment to promoting sports culture at the grassroots.
The function was graced by SDPO Sopore, Mohammad Rafi Shah, as the Chief Guest, while Tehsildar Sopore, Tariq Ahmad Sheikh, attended as Guest of Honour.
The ceremony was also attended by Town Commander Rashtriya Rifles Sopore, SHO Sopore Ayaz Geelani, SDPO Bus Stand Shoaib Sahib, President Traders Federation Sopore, prominent members of civil society, Chairman of Welkin School Sopore Anayatullah Hajni Sahib, representatives of cricket and other sports associations.
