Baramulla, Dec 20: The 5-day Girls’ Trekking Expedition, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports District Baramulla, concluded successfully at the picturesque destination of Pahalgam, leaving behind lasting memories of adventure, learning and personal growth.
As per a DYSS statement issued on Saturday, a total of 47 girl students, accompanied by 10 escort teachers, participated in the expedition and enthusiastically undertook various trekking routes across Pahalgam over five days. The participants not only explored the breathtaking natural landscapes but also engaged in physical activities that enhanced their endurance, confidence, teamwork and appreciation for nature.
The students expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Baramulla, for providing them with a well-organised and enriching trekking experience.
While speaking on the sidelines, Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO), Baramulla, lauded the students for maintaining exemplary discipline and cooperation throughout the expedition.
