Srinagar, Jan 15: Jammu and Kashmir were crowned overall champions at the Arnis National Championship 2025–26, finishing atop the medal tally after an impressive performance at the three-day event held at the Kapsheda Sports Complex New Delhi, with athletes from 18 states taking part in the competition.
The Arnis National Championship 2025–26, as per a statement issued on Thursday, was held from 9th to 11th January 2026 at the Kapsheda Sports Complex, New Delhi.
The championship was successfully organised by the Delhi Arnis Association in collaboration with the Arnis India Federation and witnessed enthusiastic participation from athletes representing 18 states from across the country, reflecting the growing popularity and competitive standard of Arnis in India.
With an outstanding display of skill, discipline, and sportsmanship, the J&K team secured the top position on the medal tally. Haryana finished as the first runners-up, claiming second place, while the host team, Delhi, secured the third position.
Officials from the organising committee and the Arnis India Federation congratulated all participating teams for their commendable performances and praised the championship for promoting unity, talent, and excellence in indigenous martial arts.
The successful conduct of the event has further strengthened the foundation for the development of Arnis at the national level and has set high standards for future championships.
