Rs 14,948 Cr private investment in J&K since 2023: Dy CM

Jammu, Feb 9: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Monday informed the House that J&K has witnessed private investment worth Rs 14948.41 crore, realised on the ground during the last three years in the industrial sector, including DICs.

He said it (investment) has generated 64515 jobs since 2023 up to 2025-26 December in 1459 units.

Choudhary shared this information in a written reply to the question of BJP MLA Subil Bhardwaj in the J&K Legislative Assembly.

The financial year 2022-23 witnessed private investment of Rs 2153.45 crore generating 15719 jobs in 629 units; in the year 2023-24, it rose to Rs 3389.37 crore generating 29969 jobs in 234 units; the year 2024-25, it was Rs 4145.59 crore generating 11396 jobs in 405 units while in the year 2025-26 (upto December), it was Rs 5260 crore generating 7431 jobs in 184 units, the Deputy Chief Minister informed the House.
