2.4 magnitude earthquake jolts J-K’s Ramban

Srinagar, Mar 24: A minor earthquake measuring 2.4 on the richter scale struck the Ramban area of Jammu and Kashmir late Monday night, causing brief tremors in surrounding regions.

According to data from the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the quake occurred at 11:46 PM on March 23, 2026, at a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was located at latitude 33.433°N and longitude 75.180°E.

However there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties following the tremor.
