Srinagar, Mar 24: As Real Kashmir FC gears up for its opening fixture of the season against Namdhari FC, the club stands at a significant juncture, balancing competitive ambition with a broader vision of football development in Jammu & Kashmir, said promoter Arshad Shawl.
Speaking to Greater Kashmir, Shawl said that over the years, Real Kashmir FC has evolved into one of the most resilient and competitive sides in the league, earning recognition for its discipline, unity, and consistent performances. He noted that the club’s journey reflects not only progress on the field but also a sustained effort to build a strong and sustainable football culture in the region.
“Central to this vision is our deep commitment to youth development. Through structured grassroots initiatives and continued investment in local talent, we are creating opportunities for aspiring footballers across Jammu & Kashmir,” Shawl said.
He said that they firmly believe that football can play a transformative role in guiding youth and providing them meaningful avenues for growth.
He added that beyond its on-field pursuits, the club continues to play an important role in strengthening the sporting ecosystem in Jammu & Kashmir, with a long-term objective of positioning the region as a credible hub for football in the country.
