Srinagar, Apr 5: J&K PCC President Tariq Hameed Karra has said that US President Donald Trump “is dictating terms and imposing decisions that suit US, as Centre is compromised due to pressures of Epstein files revelations and Adani case.”
Addressing a largely attended Congress rally at Ghou Manhasan in Marh constituency organised by former minister Mula Ram, JKPCC Chief said that “India never succumbed to pressures of super powers and always followed an independent foreign policy right from Pandit Nehru, in the interests of our nation.” “For the first time the US is imposing decisions against the interests of our country,” said Karra. Terming it a very serious attack on the sovereignty and dignity of the country, Karra questioned “why PM Modi is silent and not answering to the questions being asked in this regard.” The recent deal imposed by US, is anti-farmers, anti-people and has put the economic interests of countrymen at stake as Indians have to bear the brunt of US taxes.
All commodities including LPG, petrol, diesel have gone costlier and more would follow. Referring to the political situation in J&K, JKPCC Chief said that BJP led centre government is treating people here as second class citizens by depriving them of the status of statehood as well as the decisions are taken by centre and the nominated head despite an elected government in place. The dual control system is root cause of prevailing uncertainty and lack of accountability in the system, he added.
Urging people to question BJP for the failure to deliver despite getting huge mandate from Jammu region by promising statehood and massive development, he said 29 MLAS of BJP are unable to speak a word about restoration of statehood or get adequate funds for devastation of floods to provide adequate relief to affected people especially farmers.
The unemployed and daily wagers, contractual ,temporary employees etc are suffering due to lack of adequate financial package from the Centre to J&K, to redress their grievances by regularising their jobs. Centre & BJP can’t escape responsibility towards youth who are suffering.
Working President Raman Bhalla alleged that the BJP government is pro capitalist and “its policies are anti-farmers, anti-poor and anti common people.” People have been burdened under unprecedented price hikes ,large-scale unemployment and joblessness, he added.
