J&K’s opening woes continue, collapse exposes fragile top order

Srinagar, Nov 16: J&K’s persistent struggle at the top intensified as the team slumped to 32/5 after being sent in. Qamran Iqbal (5) and Shubham Khajuria (4) endured yet another low score, while Vivrant Sharma (0) again failed to make any impact.

The early collapse not only exposed the middle order far too soon but also allowed Hyderabad to dictate the opening session. With five wickets gone inside 17 overs, J&K were left scrambling for recovery, an issue the team management will have to urgently address moving forward.

The form of Vivrant Sharma is also emerging as a primary concern for the J&K team management, as he has not been able to score consistently. With his struggles at the top, the selectors may start considering bench options, with Yawar and Musaif being the strongest contenders for the No 3 batting slot.
