Srinagar, Apr 12: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday announced that this year the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra will begin on July 3 and conclude on August 28, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.
The Yatra will span a total of fifty seven days, the LG said.
“The Pratham Puja, to invoke the blessings of Lord Shiva, will be held on Jyeshtha Purnima, 29 June 2026,” Sinha said.
In a post on X, LG Manoj Sinha wrote, “The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra will commence this year on 3 July 2026 and conclude on Raksha Bandhan, 28 August 2026, spanning a total of 57 days. The Pratham Puja, to invoke the blessings of Lord Shiva, will be held on Jyeshtha Purnima, 29 June 2026.”
