Jammu, Jan 19: The Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu (SHDJ) on Monday organized a one-day workshop on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) for the Drawing and Disbursing Officers of the department and their dealing assistants here at Kisan Kendra, Talab Tillo.
The participating officials, as per an official statement, were familiarised with the latest trends and functioning of the Government e-Marketplace. They were sensitized to the working and operational aspects of the GeM portal in full detail.
Senior GeM consultants, Sarthak Khoda and Amir Ali were the resource persons.
They explained the modalities of GeM operations, including procurement procedures and portal functionalities.
The workshop was coordinated by the Principal Sheep & Wool Workers Training Class, Kartholi. Relevant literature and training material were also distributed among the participants.
The Director Sheep Husbandry Department, Dr Syed Moin-ul-Haq emphasised the effective utilization of the GeM platform for procurement and stressed strict adherence to prescribed guidelines and procedures.
