Ganderbal, Mar 30: Ganderbal Police organised the Police Premier Football Tournament under the Civic Action Program at Govt. Physical Education College Gadoora, Stadium.
The Tournament, as per a statement, was formally inaugurated by SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal. On the occasion, Principal Govt. Physical Education College, Gadoora Dr. Showkat Hussain, Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal Umer Urfan, Dy.SP DAR DPL Ganderbal Altaf Khan, along with other senior police officers, were present.
A total of 16 Teams from across the district are participating in the tournament, reflecting the enthusiasm and sporting spirit among the youth of Ganderbal. The Inaugural Match was played between FC Manigam and Comrade FC, marking an energetic start to the tournament.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Ganderbal emphasised the importance of sports in promoting discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among youth. He reiterated that such initiatives aim to strengthen police-public relations and provide a positive platform for young talent to showcase their abilities.
