Rajouri, Feb 17: General Officer Commanding (GOC) White Knight Corps, Lt Gen P K Mishra, on Tuesday visited forward areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts to review the prevailing security situation and assess the operational preparedness of Army units deployed along the border region.
Alongwith General Officer Commanding (GOC) Counter Insurgency Force (CIF) Romeo, General Officer Commanding (GOC) White Knight Corps visited general areas of Potha in Poonch and Thanamandi in Rajouri.
The visit was aimed to conduct a comprehensive review of the prevailing security environment, army said.
During the visit, he assessed the ground situation, interacted with Commanders at various levels and evaluated the operational preparedness of units deployed in the area.
