Jammu, Mar 7: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said helicopter service between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and Shiv Khori Shrine will begin from April to improve connectivity and facilitate pilgrims visiting the revered cave shrine in Reasi district.
LG Sinha was addressing a gathering during event conducted at shrine wherein he reviewed a number of beautification and upgradation works.
” Authorities have worked out a plan to connect Shiv Khori Shrine with helicopter service.” he said adding that from April onwards, helicopter service between Katra and Shiv Khori will start.
He added that pilgrims wishing to visit Shiv Khori Shrine after paying obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishnoo Devi Shrine will be greatly benefited with this service.
He also stated that a plan for alternate track at some congested stretches is under consideration.
