Anantnag, Apr 7: Further boosting the implementation of Mission Yuva in the district, the District Level Implementation Committee(DLIC), Anantnag today approved 589 cases during its 28th meeting held at the DC office.
The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC), Chairman DLIC, Dr. Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat and was attended by Deputy Director Employment, representative of DSWO, DNO JKEDI, Employment Officer, officials from NABARD and banking institutions and other concerned officials.
Sector-wise, the approved cases included 312 in the Retail and wholesale sector, 129 in Transport, 65 in the Service sector and 82 in the agricultural and allied sector besides other small business ventures associated with meaningful employment. With these 589 fresh cases, the district’s tally of approved cases has reached 6807, out of which 2578 have received bank loans so far.
Notably, 39.5 percent of the applications were submitted by women aspirants, indicating their increasing interest in entrepreneurial initiatives in the district.
Addressing the meeting, the DDC directed the concerned departments and banking institutions to ensure expeditious processing of loan cases and provide necessary facilitation to the applicants so the benefits of Mission YUVA are accrued by them.
He emphasized the need for close coordination between banks and line departments for smooth implementation of the scheme.
At the conclusion, the DLIC reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening entrepreneurship avenues, promoting self-reliance and providing sustainable employment opportunities to the youth through Mission YUVA in the district.
