Srinagar, Jan 29: State President of Janata Dal (United), Jammu & Kashmir GM Shaheen has welcomed and appreciated the decision of the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, for issuing the long-awaited order granting Quasi-Permanency to PM Package employees.
Terming the decision as historic, humane, and corrective in nature, Shaheen said that this bold administrative step finally resolves a prolonged injustice faced by PM Package employees, particularly members of the Kashmiri Pandit community, who have been living under uncertainty for years despite rendering continuous and sincere service.
In a statement, Shaheen stated that this decision is not merely an administrative order but a powerful affirmation of the government’s commitment to justice, stability, and dignity of labour. It demonstrates that the present administration is sensitive to the genuine grievances of displaced and affected communities and is willing to take concrete action to address their long-standing issues.
He further said that PM Package employees have been working under stressful and insecure conditions for over a decade and had repeatedly appealed for employment security. The grant of Quasi-Permanency will now provide them institutional recognition, financial stability, and psychological assurance, which is essential for rebuilding trust and confidence among these families.
