Srinagar, Apr 4: Under the visionary PM SHRI scheme (PM Schools for Rising India), PM SHRI BHSS Rawalpora today hosted a comprehensive resource-sharing session for students from its cluster-level schools.
This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 goals of creating “exemplar schools” that serve as mentorship and resource hubs for neighbouring institutions, said a press release. The lab visit highlights include Virtual Reality (VR) Lab: Students were introduced to immersive learning experiences using 3D Virtual Reality technology. Key activities included:
Exploration: Guided 360-degree tours of the Science topics and virtual journeys of the living world; Interactive Simulation: Understanding complex scientific concepts through high-end VR headsets; Astrophysics Lab: Aimed at nurturing “young scientific minds,” this session allowed cluster students to engage with advanced astronomical tools; Activities: Demonstration of telescope operations and celestial observation techniques; Outcome: Fostering scientific temper and interest in space research careers; Multi-Skills Development Lab: This state-of-the-art facility provided hands-on vocational exposure.; Focus: Integrated vocational training sessions in sectors like Retail and ICT, preparing students for 21st-century job markets; Science Laboratory: Students utilized the science block for practical experimentation; Engagement: Conducting curriculum-aligned experiments in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to deepen conceptual clarity.
