New Delhi, Mar 14: The United States has announced rewards of up to $10 million for information on several senior Iranian leaders and military figures linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, according to a report by the BBC. The US State Department issued a notice offering a bounty for information on what it described as “key leaders” of the IRGC.
The notice reportedly references 10 individuals, although only six of them have been publicly named so far.
Among those listed are Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, and Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. Larijani was earlier seen attending a pro-establishment rally in central Tehran, according to the BBC report. The US government said the individuals targeted in the reward notice “command and direct various elements” of Iran’s IRGC military wing.
