Poonch, Dec 28: The District Poonch Taekwondo Championships 2025–26 concluded successfully with a grand closing ceremony at the Indoor Hall, Sports Stadium, Poonch.
Organised under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association and recognised by the J&K Sports Council, the two-day championship, as per a statement issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, witnessed enthusiastic participation from athletes across the district.
The event highlighted strong institutional support for sports, acknowledged contributions of officials and supporters, and ensured fair and professional conduct of competitions under qualified technical supervision. The championship served as an important platform for identifying emerging talent at the grassroots level.
It was announced that medal-winning athletes will represent District Poonch at the upcoming J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2025–26. The event concluded with a renewed commitment towards promoting taekwondo and strengthening sports culture in the district and across Jammu & Kashmir.
