Srinagar, Dec 9: Police on Tuesday arrested Javid Mir alias Nilka in connection with an old case registered at Police Station Shergari.
The case, FIR No. 192/1996, was registered under Sections 341, 148, 336, 332 of the RPC, along with 7/27 Arms Act and Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, pertaining to an incident dated July 17, 1996.
Mir has been taken into custody at Police Station Shergari, where further legal proceedings are underway.
