Srinagar, Nov 28: J&K T20 skipper and opening batter Shubham Khajuria did not come out to bat in the team’s SMAT match on Friday after sustaining a wrist injury while fielding, JKCA insiders confirmed.
According to reports, Khujaria experienced discomfort immediately after the incident and was advised to refrain from batting as a precautionary measure. Medical assessment later suggested that he requires rest, making him highly unlikely to feature in J&K’s next game.
Sources said that team officials are monitoring his recovery, and a final call will be taken before the upcoming fixture.
