Srinagar, Apr 24: In a remarkable student-driven initiative, the WE-AI (Women Empowerment–Artificial Intelligence) Club, founded by Taleyn Tatheer Khan and co-founded by Aiza Naveed Shah, under the mentorship of Priyanka Bharghav from Admit Kard, successfully conducted its maiden series of workshops and seminars from April 20 here.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across leading institutions, including Kashmir Harvard, Green Valley Educational Institute, Presentation Convent School, Crescent Public School, SRM Welkin Sopore, Birla Open Minds International School, and GD Goenka Public School. The initiative aimed to inspire young minds—especially girls—to explore opportunities in engineering and Artificial Intelligence while promoting equality, innovation, and leadership.
Through interactive sessions, live demonstrations, and collaborative activities, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of AI, real-world technological applications, and problem-solving approaches. The workshops emphasized the role of women in shaping the future of science and technology.
“WE-AI is not just a club; it is a platform to inspire confidence, curiosity, and leadership among young women who aspire to step into the world of technology and innovation,” said Taleyn Tatheer Khan, Founder.
“Our aim is to make AI and engineering accessible and engaging for students at the school level, while encouraging them to think beyond textbooks and work towards real-world impact,” added Aiza Naveed Shah, Co-Founder.
Mentor Priyanka Bharghav (Admit Kard) highlighted the importance of early exposure to emerging technologies, noting that such initiatives help shape future-ready students equipped with technical knowledge and social awareness.
With its successful maiden outreach, the WE-AI Club has laid the foundation for a sustained movement aimed at nurturing innovation, leadership, and empowerment among youth in the region.
